Our Kindred travel back to Solomon's shop for their midnight appointment. But they are unable to enter until they agree on the proper etiquette for opening the door. Inside Lewis and Solomon meet face to face for the first time, and they actually seem to hit it off! Even with a bit of rambling from Lewis and Isaac.

Elias is not thrilled by the prospects of his potential immortality seeing what long life has apparently done to the minds of his companions. But that is quickly forgotten when Solomon introduces an unexpected guest. Is this new person a friend or a foe? And Solomon shares what may be some of the last words from the murder victim!
