Intelligence Check is an actual play series that's big on the laughs. It's a light-hearted show, using D&D 5e rules, set in the homebrew world of the Lichstone Empire. We've got dark and mysterious backgrounds, defensive elephants, weird gambling, oddly specific kobold slaughter, and tentacles. Way too many tentacles.

The Allied Forces have lost the battle, a defeat that culminated with the capture of their general Palino! Our team of adventurers has committed to rescuing him, but they don't know the location of the enemy's base where he has been taken. They've received word that information leading to that base can be located at the mansion of one of the enemy leaders. A mansion where a party celebrating their victory is about to be held. Do you know what that means? It's time for a heist!

Now, everyone knows that a successful heist requires a good plan. And our party, well they try, but they don't have a great track record with making plans and sticking to them. Thankfully they are good at just rolling with things! Or at least creating enough chaos and confusion to get what they need and slip away.

A good heist also requires the perfect location to meet up and plan before the heist! Like an abandoned warehouse. Or, maybe a really public tavern. And for that heist planning you're going to need reliable intelligence. How many guards are there? What's the lay of the land? Is there a butlery? That last one might be specific to this group though.

You're also going to need gear! Cool gadgets, communication devices, snazzy outfits. All the usual stuff! So you're going to need a trusted source to get that intel and that gear. Maybe from the representative of a local thieves guild? And it would really help if that representative is terrible with money and is bad at negotiating.

We might just know a guy...

Episode 112- Friend Point

With the new party members introduced the team has set sail aboard Jag's ship the Salty Narwhal. There, they have some time to bond and learn a little about each other. But the two weeks on board the ship passes fast and they have now arrived at the beginning of a large battle against the forces of the First. We know these new adventurers can handle themselves in some light conversation, but are they any good in a fight?

If Tor were there he'd probably put a bet on Jag being able to hold his own in a brawl. He's a big minotaur with a pirate accent and who has named his two axes. He's been in bar fights at least! But what about Way, the tortle who seems to always be looking towards the sky? He says he spent time helping to defend trade caravans he worked on. But what does that really mean? What secret abilities is he hiding in that huge backpack of his? And then there's Rady, the apparently always intoxicated yaun-ti who would rather take a nap than share any details about himself. Is he able to sober up enough to realize he's even in a fight? And if so what does he bring to the battlefield other than a surly disposition? It's time to find out as the combatants charge into the fray!

Episode 111- The Sea Team

After watching Blag be whisked away back to the aboleth, and saying their farewells to Nock and Shep, Namee and Violexx are approached by the Evergreen. Despite their recent losses, they are once again called to join the fray against the forces of the evil First. Thankfully the Evergreen knows they will need help in the upcoming battles and has new companions set to join them! Three of them conveniently enough!

The first to join the party appears to be a Tortle who has accompanied the Evergreen on his visit. What will we learn about this new adventurer? Who are the others joining the party? And which of them will compel Namee to lick something random? It's time to meet the new crew!

The rescue mission is complete. Our adventurers saved Blag's sister Natasha from the clutches of the draconian elite unit. And with just a little help from the Chosen they fought to protect, the party was able to drive off the enemies forces that attempted to stop their escape. But the price paid was devastatingly high.

Upon arriving back in the city of Silverkeep, Violexx, Namee and Blag take to the streets to distract themselves from the loss of their friends and the upcoming memorial service. Their reprieve is soon interrupted by a trio of shady characters with murderous intentions. How will Namee's temper flare to life? What cutting words will Violexx have for their attackers? And will Blag actually use his javelins? Those weapons have been with him from the beginning of his journey, so they certainly have some tales to be told?
