Intelligence Check is an actual play series that's big on the laughs. It's a light-hearted show, using D&D 5e rules, set in the homebrew world of the Lichstone Empire. We've got dark and mysterious backgrounds, defensive elephants, weird gambling, oddly specific kobold slaughter, and tentacles. Way too many tentacles.

Having survived their audience with the frog king, our party returns to Namee's home with the cure-all in hand. But with no directions on the label will they be able to figure out how to even use it? Then it's off to shops to gear up and check out some new magic accessories. It's basically an interlude episode, but they've got a large encounter coming up and they might as well look good for it!

His day begins like any other, starting the morning off with a simple healthy breakfast and some time to relax in his modest, yet comfortable quarters. His rooms are slightly larger than most, a benefit of his station as one of the elite guards. Then, before leaving, he memorizes his spells for the day, a standard selection of detect magic, combat magic and psychic abilities, useful for the advance detection and assessment of threats.
As he passes through the halls, he receives nods of respect, but few friendly waves. He doesn't mind that he's not well liked. He has little time to maintain relationships and he takes pride in excelling at his work and the esteem it brings him. Arriving at his post, he is joined by his two colleagues, one a specialist in illusions, the other in transportation magics. They make a formidable team, which is why they are trusted with such an important posting.
It's not long after that he hears something unexpected; the alarm horn has been blown. Has the Rakshasa finally sent their forces against them? He and his companions show no hesitation, falling into their training and taking up their defensive positions. He is prepared for the worst, he will be unflinching in his duty and will gladly die to protect his lord. Little does he know that it is not an invading army coming towards his position, but rather a team of inept adventurers. And Ribbert the Guard is about to have a very bad day.

Our party has finally made it into the frog folk cave! Having navigated their way past a rather treacherous pit, they find themselves with only one way forward, down into a big pool of dark water! After a quick and possibly ill-advised test from Namee it becomes clear that this may not be the most inviting place to go for a dip. Thankfully Violexx has an idea to push onwards that's a real gas. Working together, the team brews up a plan and lets it rip.
Who will they come across in the tunnels that's a real stinker? What wind of inspiration will blow Blag into some deep scientific thoughts? What terrible curse is revealed that gives Violexx vapors? With enemies about, will our adventurers have to cut one? It's time to see if this group can squeak deeper into the bowels of the cave. It's time to be silent and almost deadly!

Our adventurers are having a bit of a rough start against the frog people. On a mission to find a cure to the mysterious illness the frog people are said to have, only one of the party has even made it past the cave entrance where the frog folk live! And that really just made things worse. The others have been fighting for their lives, and it's not going their way. Having come up with a do it yourself remedy for the unexpected acid within his body, Nock is ready to put that remedy to use to aid Shep. He may be a little too excited to use it on Shep if we're being honest. But really, after being shot by Shep's arrows more than once we can't blame Nock.
Will the party make it past the horde of frog people and get to the cave? If they do, can they even go through the magical barrier blocking the entrance? They've certainly got enough theories on how to do that! What physical characteristic of fantasy world leaders has thoroughly permeated into the minds of everyone around the table? And why does Lauren mention having her hands inside a dog's abdomen? Well she's a Surgical Veterinary Nurse. That's just a real life fact.

Our adventurers are on a quest for the mysterious disease ravaging Namee's home. Upon arriving at a cave said to hold an antidote, they have discovered it is heavily inhabited by the frog people who have attacked the party in the past. They were told to expect this of course, but there's a lot of them! With Namee off to cause chaos, the rest are left to fend for their lives as they engage in combat with the frog folk. The result of this is a slew of stabbings.
There are gobs of gorings. A profusion of piercings! A great deal of gashes. Stacks of slashings! A cornucopia of cuts. Piles of punctures!A real wealth of wounds. And a plethora of perforations. Really just a general shitshow of being stabbed. And Blag is only responsible for about 3 of them! Hopefully the party can persevere because this mission is off to a prickly start.
